Cametringane Hotel was purchased in November 2001 by partners Joseph & Elizabeth Harrington (pictured below) and Ebbie & Sheila Sheehan, all from Beara.

Joseph & Elizabeth Harrington, who have a long established background in the Hotel and Catering trade, are managing the hotel and are living on the premises with their four daughters - some of whom also work in the hotel when needed. One of the most distinguishing features of the Cametringane hotel is the high level of personal service and care. This is passed on to the visitors, many of whom are already return visitors because of the warm traditional Irish hospitality that is showered on them while staying there.
 

In early 2004 work was completed on the new €2 million euro wing of the Cametringane Hotel, which now permits the new Roancarrig Suite with panoramic views of the harbour , to cater for weddings, conferences and functions of up to 300 people. In the new wing are located bedroom suites also with stunning views of Castletownbere harbour and the sounding hills.
